Prayer to St. Raphael, Archangel

We beseech you to help us
In all our needs and trials of this life, as you,
Through the power of God,
Did restore sight and give guidance to young Tobit.
We humbly seek your aid and intercession,
That our souls may be healed,
Our bodies protected from all ills,
And that through divine grace we may be made fit
To dwell in the eternal glory of God in heaven. Amen.
-Traditional prayer for the intercession of St. Raphael.

Prayer Before a Crucifix

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus, while before you
I humbly kneel and with burning soul pray and beseech
you to fix deep in my hear lively sentiments of faith, hope, and charity,
true contrition for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment;
while I contemplate with great love and tender pity
your five wounds, pondering over them within me
and calling to mind the words which David, your prophet,
said of you, my Jesus; “They have pierced my hands and my feet;
they have numbered all my bones.”
